NASCAR: Where did it begin?[]
NASCAR was founded in Daytona Beach, Florida. At first, there were just beach races. People could just paint a number on their cars and race.
Daytona[]
In 1958, Daytona International Speedway opened for the inaugural Daytona 500. It was an amazing race, with battles and crashes all around. This wasn't the first pavement track; Darlington Raceway was one of the first pavement tracks built for NASCAR.
